S&L Plumbing and Heating Executive Staff 
Sal Alonge officially began his career in the plumbing industry in 1999, where he started as an apprentice for S&L Plumbing and Heating Corp. In 2005 he received a mechanical engineering degree from New York Institute of Technology and began working for the largest plumbing firm in NYC, WDF Inc. Sal started as a draftsman and was soon promoted to Chief Plumbing designer, where he would manage the firms design department for the next 8 years.
Through these years Sal was at the forefront of using new 3D cad software for plumbing design, creating a new industry standard in the process. Together with his field experience he was able to use this technology in ways that increased production and quality.
Thereafter Sal was promoted to Vice President of Operations for WDF’s plumbing division. For the next 3 years he would be responsible for all aspects of the plumbing division operations and would lead them to increased successes over these years. During Sal’s 12 years at WDF he was involved with some of the most notable and prestigious jobs in NYC. He has completed large commercial projects such as WTC Tower 1, Tower 3, WTC transportation Hub, WTC Retail, Goldman Sachs, Hudson yards, and 390 Madison to name a few. He also completed luxury residential buildings such as; 15 Central Park West, 50 West Street, The Continuum, and 80 Dekalb Ave. In addition to these projects Sal has completed numerous projects for many NYC agencies such as; PANY, SCA, MTA, DEP and DOS.
Throughout his career he has been a true leader in the plumbing industry. At the age of 28 he was recognized as a recipient of ENR New York’s prestigious Top 20 under 40 award, which is an award given to young innovative leaders in the construction field for New York. Sal is a licensed master plumber in NYC, Westchester County, Rockland County, and Putnam County.
Michael Alonge was introduced to the plumbing business in 2005. He officially began his career with S & L Plumbing and Heating Corp. in 2009, after graduating from Suny Maritime College with a business degree in international transportation and trade.
After two years of administrative work, Michael continued his education and entered the Local 21 certified apprenticeship program. During his apprenticeship Michael was lead Foreman, project manager, and material expeditor for several difficult and intense school projects making him acutely aware of all aspects of the plumbing industry.
He is the Sr. Vice President of S & L Plumbing and holds a Master Plumbers License in Westchester County. He oversees field operations for all of S & L’s current jobs.
Stephen Alonge began his plumbing career as a Local 2 plumber. His hard work and dedication were recognized early on by winning the apprenticeship award in 1980. With strong passion and understanding of the field, Stephen had a vision to create his own Plumbing Company. With continued support of the union Stephen signed with Plumbers Local 21. He presently holds a seat on the Putnam county plumbing board and holds licenses in Westchester County, Putnam County, Rockland County and all of Connecticut. Presently he is the Chairman of S&L Plumbing and oversees all aspects of the company.
Nearly 20 years ago, Mike began his career as an apprentice with UA Plumbers Local #373 and moved up the ranks quickly because of his talent and hard work ethic. Mike is now the Vice President at S&L Plumbing and oversees all project operations including project management, estimating and purchasing. His talent and hard work ethic continues today while maintaining outstanding relationships with our clients, including general contractors, sub-contractors, and supply houses. Mikes experience makes him extremely special in all aspects of the business, everything from procuring material for a project, to jumping in and helping the field with difficult installations.
Joseph has been with S&L plumbing from the beginning, where he started his plumbing career as an apprentice at 18 years old. Joe was S&L’s number one foreman through 90’s and 2000’s, gaining invaluable experience on all types of projects, never delaying a project and always finishing on time. Today he is a Licensed Master Plumber in Westchester and is S&L’s General Superintendent, where he is responsible for all field labor and completing projects on time and within budget.
